As well as our much-loved Alumnae Matches, our current girls entertained us with performances, productions, talks and displays. Our catering team looked after us with delicious food all weekend, including their famous Afternoon Tea.

Alumnae Matches: We were delighted to welcome familiar faces back to the pitch as our alumnae returned to play hockey, netball and lacrosse with the same enthusiasm, passion and competitive spirit they showed during their time at school. Played in an excellent spirit, the lacrosse match was a fantastic showcase of skill, teamwork and experience. Two beautifully worked goals ultimately separated the sides in an entertaining end-to-end contest, with both teams creating chances, moving the ball with confidence and demonstrating excellent technical ability. The goalkeepers also produced a series of outstanding saves to keep the scoreline close and ensure a thrilling encounter from start to finish. It was the perfect way to bring the season to a close.

Musical Performances: We had two very different styles of concert over the weekend. On Saturday, our orchestras, ensembles and choirs delighted audiences with a programme spanning a rich variety of musical styles, from Schubert to David Bowie. On Sunday, the atmosphere shifted for our Live Lounge event, where pupils performed a selection of pieces they had chosen and prepared themselves. They were joined by our staff choir for a wonderfully relaxed, yet no less ambitious, performance.

The Production, ‘All Together Now’: Our Performing Arts Department brought together an imaginative and diverse programme that beautifully showcased the exceptional talent of our pupils. Audiences enjoyed extracts from a wide range of plays and musicals, including Antigone, Lane End School, Beetlejuice, an original film, an abridged version of Matilda, and scenes from Hamilton. The student hosts also impressed, introducing each performance with confidence and humour, helping to create a seamless and thoroughly engaging production.

Mini TED Talks: Across three sets of mini TED-style talks, pupils from the LIV to the LVI showcased the breadth and diversity of their academic research. It was inspiring to see traditional presentation techniques evolve into a more confident, engaging and free-flowing style, with pupils communicating their ideas with enthusiasm and originality.

Creative Arts Displays: Visitors were also treated to an outstanding Creative Arts exhibition showcasing work by our Fine Art, Photography, 3D Design and Textiles students. The creativity and craftsmanship on display were exceptional, with many visitors commenting on the remarkable quality of the work and even asking whether they could purchase some of the exhibits!
