The first DH LINKS Cluster Group took place on 28 November 2014 for the Medical/Allied Healthcare professions and it was a huge success! The event, held at the Troubadour in London, was kindly sponsored by the DH Past Parents’ Association.
In attendance were a good number of alumnae who are currently working in medical professions or studying Medicine/related degrees at university, as well as a current and past parents working as GPs. We invited a small number LVI and UVI girls who have submitted Medicine/Healthcare UCAS applications or are thinking about entering this professional field. They found the evening enormously helpful to chat to alumnae currently studying at university as well as those in the world of work.
The alumnae and parents also enjoyed the chance to network with one another and several realised they already had professional connections Two alumna have now been selected as ‘coordinators’ for the Medical/Healthcare professions and we look forward to working closely with them to organise future events.
