Each year, the Downe House staff, pupils and trustees of the Downe House Charitable Trust (charity no. 1159259) will decide which projects will take place. Projects take place across a range of academic departments, houses and School grounds. Decisions are made based on available funds for a particular project, as well as the capacity to deliver a project in the context of any other work being carried out at School.

Your donations to the Annual fund have helped us to complete the following projects:
September 2024 marked the official opening of the amazing new Downe House gym – kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment and set to add a whole new dimension to our sport and fitness provision. This new facility cost £200,000 and was made possible by the extraordinary generosity of alumnae and parents, past and present, for which we are extremely grateful. The much improved workout space with new equipment will benefit the health and wellbeing of our whole community. Thank you to everyone who helped revitalise our gym.
In Michaelmas term 2024, our community raised a tremendous £45,000 for our Performing Arts department. Their kind donations allowed us to transform our DS1 classroom into a mini auditorium - an adaptable studio and performance space, delivering more small-scale theatre, film and dance productions, on a regular basis in a professional setting. It allows the girls to do more inspiring work more often, giving them more experience and practice. Thank you so much to everyone who invested in our Performing Arts department.
