CREATING A CAMPUS THAT WILL BENEFIT FUTURE GENERATIONS
Downe House has been educating girls in Berkshire for over a century. To mark our 100th anniversary of arriving here in Berkshire, we are launching the Centenary Campaign, a long-term strategy to make sure that we continue to be one of the very best schools in the world.
We want our girls graduating today to become the leaders of tomorrow. And we are building new Maths, Digital Innovation facilities to support this aim.
Teaching is constantly changing, as is technology. Our new building will provide the modern infrastructure and facilities to give Maths and Digital Innovation the focus they deserve as they become increasingly essential in the world of work that our girls entering.
The new building will provide:
· A new, dedicated home for these subjects
· Classrooms for both desk and interactive learning, bringing the subjects to life
· Equipment accommodating AI, VR and AR, as well as powerful computing
This building will benefit every girl at the School. It will also create excellence for others outside of our school community through community engagement.
We are investing £7.5millon in this first-class educational environment. In support of this, we are asking alumnae, parents and friends of the School to help us raise £2.5million.
We are so grateful to the parents, alumnae and supporters whose donations over many years have made such a difference to our girls. We appreciate each and every gift, however large or small, as together they have had a huge cumulative impact, and every pound takes us closer to our goal of securing the School’s future.
